HISTORY: South Melbourne Store > return

CITA Thrift Shop 2330 Johnny Ellison Dr. Melbourne, FL 32901This Building had the colorful history of being the site of Tuckers Candy and Tobacco (We're Pickled Tink), a seafood supply, a window and door factory, Spectrum Surfboard factory, a defunct night club which never opened; and finally now, CITA Thrift Shop.

It was purchased to be the donation handling warehouse. After the fire that destroyed the Mission and Thrift Shop, this building became the new Thrift Shop/ and temporary, partial dormitory for the men. This building really got us through a hardship created by the fire.

Donations to CITA still run through this building. Items are sorted, used by CITA in it's daily functions, or they are sold to fund CITA's daily functions.

If you love to pick through a daily turn-over of used "treasures" and scurry away with the best deals of the day. CITA Thrifts shops are the place to go.
